Terms & Conditions

1.1 These Terms and Conditions, referred to throughout as the “Terms,” constitute a legally binding agreement between the individual or organisation that accesses or uses the Platform, referred to as “you” or the “User,” and [LEGAL NAME OF OPERATOR], which operates the professional networking platform trading as DJ Hub and is referred to as “DJ Hub,” “we,” “us,” or “our.”

1.2 DJ Hub is established in the United Kingdom and operates from [FULL TRADING ADDRESS, INCLUDING POSTCODE]. Where the operator is incorporated in England and Wales, its registered company number is [COMPANY NUMBER] and its registered office is situated at [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS].

1.3 Correspondence concerning these Terms may be addressed by electronic mail to support@djhubnetwork.co.uk.

1.4 Regulation 6 of the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 obliges a provider of an information society service to render its name, geographic address, and electronic contact details easily, directly, and permanently accessible to recipients of the service. Publication of the particulars set out in clauses 1.1 to 1.3 discharges that obligation.

1.5 The Terms govern all access to and use of:

(a) the website published at www.djhubnetwork.co.uk and any subdomain, successor domain, or mobile-optimised version of it;

(b) User accounts, professional DJ profiles, and profile management tools;

(c) the uploading, hosting, embedding, and public display of mixes, photographs, videos, artwork, biographical material, and social-media links;

(d) the search, discovery, and networking functionality through which DJs, venues, promoters, agencies, and clients locate and contact one another;

(e) the booking-enquiry system and any messaging or notification feature associated with it;

(f) any paid subscription plan, promotional placement, or premium feature made available now or in the future; and

(g) all software, databases, interfaces, documentation, and materials supplied by DJ Hub in connection with the foregoing, together referred to as the “Platform.”

1.6 Registration of an Account, creation of a Profile, submission or receipt of a booking enquiry, purchase of a subscription, or any other use of the Platform confirms that you have read, understood, and accepted the Terms. A person acting for a company, partnership, agency, venue, or other organisation warrants that the person holds authority to bind that organisation.

1.7 Where you do not accept the Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.

1.8 Several related documents are incorporated by reference and form part of the agreement between us: the DJ Hub Privacy Policy, the DJ Hub Cookie Policy, the acceptable-use provisions at clause 9, and any plan description, price list, or checkout disclosure presented before payment. Should a conflict arise between the Terms and a document incorporated by reference, the Terms prevail except where the other document expressly states otherwise or where a mandatory statutory rule requires a different outcome.

2.1 In the Terms, the following expressions carry the meanings assigned below:

Account: The registered means of access through which a User authenticates and administers a Profile, subscription, enquiries, and settings.

Booking Enquiry: A message, request, or expression of interest transmitted through the Platform by a Client to a DJ, or by a DJ to a Client, concerning a possible engagement, performance, residency, or event.

Client: A venue, promoter, agency, event organiser, private individual, or other party that uses the Platform to identify, evaluate, or contact a DJ.

Consumer: An individual acting wholly or mainly outside that individual’s trade, business, craft, or profession, in accordance with the definition given in section 2(3) of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

DJ: A User who creates a professional Profile in order to present recorded mixes, performance history, genres, credentials, availability, or promotional material to other Users.

Embedded Content: Audio, video, or interactive material that remains hosted by an external service, including SoundCloud, YouTube, Mixcloud, TikTok, Instagram, Spotify, or Bandcamp, and which appears within the Platform through a player, frame, or preview supplied by that external service.

Profile: The public or semi-public presentation page compiled by a User, comprising a display name, biography, photographs, genres, location, links, Embedded Content, and other particulars submitted by that User.

Subscription: A paid, recurring right of access to designated Platform features, governed by the plan description displayed before purchase.

User Content: Any material submitted, uploaded, transmitted, embedded, linked, generated, or otherwise made available through the Platform by a User, including profile photographs, mixes, videos, artwork, biographical text, reviews, messages, and Booking Enquiries.

2.2 Words importing the singular include the plural and vice versa. Headings serve navigational convenience alone and carry no interpretative weight. References to legislation include that legislation as amended, extended, consolidated, or re-enacted from time to time, together with any subordinate instrument made under it.

3.1 The Platform is designed for professional and commercial use within the music, events, and hospitality sectors. Registration is restricted to persons aged 18 years or over who possess the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. Accounts are not made available to children, and no part of the Platform is directed at children.

3.2 We may require verification of age, identity, professional status, or authority at registration or at any later point, and we may decline, suspend, or withdraw access where verification is refused, incomplete, or unsatisfactory. Verification measures form part of our arrangements under the Online Safety Act 2023, described more fully at clause 16.

3.3 Information supplied at registration must be accurate, current, and complete, and it must be corrected promptly whenever it ceases to be so. Registration under a false identity, under the identity of another person, or on behalf of a suspended or terminated Account is prohibited.

3.4 An Account is personal to the registered User. Credentials must not be sold, transferred, shared, published, or otherwise disclosed to any person who is not authorised to act for the Account holder.

3.5 Responsibility for all activity conducted through an Account rests with the registered User, save to the extent that unauthorised activity results from our own failure to apply security measures required of us by law.

3.6 Suspected compromise of an Account must be reported without delay to support@djhubnetwork.co.uk. Before restoring access, transferring control, or disclosing Account information, we may require documentary evidence of identity or authority.

3.7 A User may maintain more than one Profile where each corresponds to a genuine and distinct artistic project, alias, or performing identity, and an agency, label, or management company may create and administer Profiles for the artists it represents, provided that each represented artist has authorised the arrangement and that the representative relationship is disclosed to us on request. Additional Accounts or Profiles must not, however, be created in order to evade a suspension, to circumvent the limits of a plan, to distort search ranking or engagement metrics, or to conceal the identity of the person in control.

4.1 DJ Hub supplies a professional networking and discovery environment. Our function consists of hosting Profiles, publishing User Content submitted by Users, operating search and matching tools, and transmitting Booking Enquiries between Users.

4.2 We are neither a booking agency, a talent agency, an employment business, an employment agency, a promoter, a ticketing service, nor a party to any engagement agreed between a DJ and a Client. Our function is confined to the operation of the Platform through which contact is initiated.

4.3 Depending upon the plan in use and the development stage of the Platform, functionality may permit a User to:

(a) create, edit, and publish a professional Profile;

(b) upload profile photographs, promotional images, artwork, and short-form video;

(c) embed mixes, sets, and videos hosted on SoundCloud, YouTube, Mixcloud, TikTok, or comparable services;

(d) publish genres, performance history, equipment lists, travel radius, availability, and rates;

(e) link to external social-media accounts and websites;

(f) search, filter, and view the Profiles of other Users;

(g) send, receive, and manage Booking Enquiries; and

(h) receive notifications concerning enquiries, Account security, and Platform announcements.

4.4 Features vary between devices, browsers, plans, territories, and releases. Access to the internet and use of a compatible device remain your responsibility and your cost.

4.5 No representation is made that use of the Platform will produce bookings, enquiries, engagements, exposure, revenue, or professional advancement of any kind. Search ranking, ordering, and visibility depend upon parameters that we may adjust in order to improve relevance, and no particular position or level of prominence is guaranteed.

4.6 We do not verify, audit, endorse, or accept responsibility for the accuracy of statements made by Users about their experience, qualifications, insurance, licensing, equipment, fees, availability, or professional standing. Independent enquiry before entering into any engagement remains a matter for the contracting parties.

5.1 Material added to a Profile may be visible to other Users, to visitors who are not registered, and to search engines that index public pages. Publication decisions rest with you, and material that you would not wish to be seen publicly should not be added to a Profile.

5.2 Profile fields must be completed truthfully. Statements concerning residencies, awards, chart positions, label affiliations, endorsements, or client lists must be capable of substantiation, since misleading professional claims may contravene the prohibition on unfair commercial practices in section 225 of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 and may amount to a misleading action within section 226 of that Act.

5.3 Contact details published within a Profile are published at your own election. Where a User publishes a telephone number, an email address, or a social handle, that information becomes available to any person able to view the Profile.

5.4 We may apply formatting, resizing, compression, transcoding, cropping, watermarking, or thumbnail generation to uploaded material for technical display purposes. Modifications of that kind do not alter the ownership position described at clause 6.

5.5 Profiles that remain incomplete, dormant, unverified, or manifestly inactive may be de-indexed, hidden from search results, or archived following reasonable notice sent to the registered email address.

6.1 Ownership of intellectual-property rights in User Content is unaffected by these Terms. As between you and DJ Hub, you retain every right, title, and interest that you held in your User Content before submission.

6.2 Operation of a hosting platform is impossible without permission to reproduce and communicate the material that Users submit. Accordingly, you grant DJ Hub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sub-licensable licence to host, store, cache, reproduce, adapt for technical formatting, publish, distribute, communicate to the public, and display your User Content, together with the right to make it available through the Platform and through promotional channels operated by DJ Hub.

6.3 The licence granted at clause 6.2 is limited to the purposes of operating, promoting, securing, maintaining, developing, and improving the Platform. No right to sell your User Content as a standalone product, to license it to unrelated third parties for their own commercial exploitation, or to synchronise it with third-party advertising without your separate agreement is conferred.

6.4 Promotional use may include the display of a Profile photograph, a display name, an excerpt of a mix, or a short video clip within DJ Hub social-media posts, newsletters, featured-artist listings, and marketing pages. A User who objects to promotional use of that kind may notify us at support@djhubnetwork.co.uk, and we will cease that use within a reasonable period, without prejudice to copies already distributed.

6.5 Upon deletion of User Content or closure of an Account, the licence at clause 6.2 terminates in respect of the deleted material, save that residual copies may persist temporarily within routine backups, caches, security logs, or records that we are required to retain by law until overwritten in the ordinary cycle.

6.6 Where a mix, remix, edit, or recording incorporates musical works or sound recordings owned by others, you must hold every licence, clearance, waiver, or permission required for the upload and for public communication of that material. Section 16 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 reserves to the copyright owner the acts of copying a work and communicating it to the public, and the making available of an unlicensed mix through the Platform may infringe those rights.

6.7 Nothing within the Terms requires DJ Hub to obtain, administer, or account for any licence granted by a collecting society, including PRS for Music, PPL, or an equivalent body in another territory. Responsibility for identifying and satisfying any such obligation in respect of your own activity rests with you.

6.8 Moral rights conferred by Chapter IV of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, including the right to be identified as author under section 77 and the right to object to derogatory treatment under section 80, are not assigned by these Terms. To the extent permitted by law, you waive those rights only so far as is strictly necessary to permit the technical formatting, cropping, thumbnailing, and layout operations described at clause 5.4.

6.9 Feedback, suggestions, and feature requests submitted voluntarily may be used by DJ Hub without restriction, attribution, or payment, provided that no confidential material belonging to the User is disclosed publicly through that use.

7.1 Mixes, sets, videos, and social posts displayed within a Profile are frequently hosted by an external service rather than by DJ Hub. When a User embeds material from SoundCloud, YouTube, Mixcloud, TikTok, or a comparable provider, playback occurs through infrastructure controlled by that provider.

7.2 Embedding is permitted only where the embedding User holds the rights necessary to display the material and where the terms of the hosting service permit external embedding. Certain services restrict embedding, disable it for particular recordings, or withdraw it after a rights complaint, and we accept no responsibility for the consequences of such a restriction.

7.3 Interaction with Embedded Content invokes the hosting provider directly. Cookies, device identifiers, and usage data may be collected by that provider under its own terms and privacy notice, over which DJ Hub exercises no control. Detailed information appears in the DJ Hub Cookie Policy and the DJ Hub Privacy Policy.

7.4 Availability, playback quality, geographic restrictions, advertising, and continued existence of Embedded Content are determined by the hosting provider. Removal, monetisation, blocking, or muting of a recording by that provider is beyond our control, and no compensation is payable in consequence.

7.5 External links published within a Profile do not constitute an endorsement by DJ Hub of the linked site, its operator, its content, or its commercial offering.

8.1 The booking-enquiry system exists to introduce Clients to DJs. Transmission of an enquiry does not create a contract, an offer capable of acceptance, a reservation, or a guarantee of availability.

8.2 Any engagement subsequently agreed is a contract concluded directly between the DJ and the Client. DJ Hub is not a party to that contract, receives no commission, fee, or share of the engagement price, and assumes no obligation in respect of its formation, performance, variation, or termination.

8.3 Matters falling exclusively between the DJ and the Client include, without limitation:

Commercial terms: Fees, deposits, payment method, payment timing, expenses, travel, accommodation, and rider requirements.

Performance particulars: Date, venue, duration, set times, sound-check arrangements, equipment supply, and technical specification.

Cancellation arrangements: Notice periods, deposit forfeiture, force-majeure relief, illness, substitution, and rescheduling.

Compliance obligations: Premises licensing, public liability insurance, portable-appliance testing, risk assessments, health-and-safety duties, and any local-authority requirement applicable to the event.

Tax and status: Self-employment, income-tax and national-insurance liability, VAT registration, invoicing, and employment-status determinations.

8.4 We do not screen, vet, credit-check, or accredit Clients, and we do not verify the solvency, licensing, or insurance position of any party. Independent due diligence and, where appropriate, a written engagement agreement between the DJ and the Client are strongly advised before any commitment is made.

8.5 Payment for engagements is arranged directly between the DJ and the Client. No payment mechanism, escrow facility, guarantee, or payment protection is offered by DJ Hub in respect of engagement fees, and non-payment by a Client is a matter for resolution between the contracting parties.

8.6 Once an introduction has been made, Users remain free to continue their dealings by whatever means they prefer, and no fee, notice, or continued use of the Platform is required in order to agree and perform an engagement. That freedom operates within three limits: contact details obtained through the Platform must not be harvested in bulk, Users must not be approached for purposes unrelated to professional engagement, and unsolicited commercial messages must not be transmitted contrary to regulation 22 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.

8.7 Disputes arising from an engagement must be pursued between the DJ and the Client. We may, at our absolute discretion and without obligation, supply factual records of enquiries transmitted through the Platform where a lawful request, a court order, or a legitimate investigation makes disclosure appropriate.

9.1 Use of the Platform must at all times comply with applicable law and with the standards set out below.

9.2 You must not submit, upload, embed, link to, transmit, or otherwise make available any material that:

(a) infringes copyright, performers’ rights, trade marks, database rights, design rights, or any other intellectual-property right;

(b) is defamatory of any person, or which constitutes malicious falsehood;

(c) is obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, or otherwise contrary to the Obscene Publications Act 1959;

(d) is threatening, abusive, harassing, or intended to cause distress, contrary to the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 or section 127 of the Communications Act 2003;

(e) incites violence, terrorism, racial or religious hatred, or hatred on grounds of sexual orientation, disability, or transgender identity;

(f) depicts, promotes, or facilitates the sexual exploitation or abuse of children;

(g) breaches a duty of confidence, a court order, a reporting restriction, or the privacy rights of another person;

(h) discloses personal data concerning another individual without a lawful basis, including the practice commonly described as doxxing;

(i) is fraudulent, deceptive, or designed to obtain money, credentials, or personal data by deception;

(j) advertises controlled drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, or any other item whose supply is unlawful; or

(k) contains a virus, worm, trojan, keystroke logger, or other malicious code.

9.3 You must not:

(a) impersonate another DJ, artist, agency, venue, brand, or individual, or misrepresent your affiliation with any of them;

(b) create a Profile for a person who has not authorised it;

(c) manipulate search results, reviews, ratings, or engagement metrics by artificial means;

(d) use automated scripts, crawlers, scrapers, or harvesting tools against the Platform, except through an interface that we have expressly authorised in writing;

(e) attempt to gain unauthorised access to an Account, server, database, or network, contrary to the Computer Misuse Act 1990;

(f) circumvent access controls, rate limits, plan restrictions, or security measures;

(g) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Platform software, except so far as applicable law prohibits the restriction of that activity;

(h) resell, sublicense, frame, or commercially exploit access to the Platform without our written consent;

(i) transmit unsolicited bulk communications, chain messages, or promotional material unrelated to professional engagement; or

(j) act in any manner that materially impairs the security, integrity, capacity, availability, or lawful operation of the Platform.

9.4 Breach of clause 9 may result in removal of material, restriction of functionality, suspension, termination, forfeiture of unused subscription time in cases of serious or repeated breach, referral to law-enforcement authorities, or civil proceedings.

10.1 Respect for intellectual property lies at the centre of a platform built around recorded music. We operate the notice-and-takedown procedure described below and act expeditiously upon receipt of a valid complaint.

10.2 Regulation 19 of the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 relieves a hosting provider of liability for information stored at the request of a recipient of the service, provided that the provider has no actual knowledge of unlawful activity and, upon obtaining such knowledge or awareness, acts expeditiously to remove the material or to disable access to it. Our procedure is designed accordingly.

10.3 A rights holder, or a person authorised to act for a rights holder, who believes that material accessible through the Platform infringes copyright or a related right should send a notice to support@djhubnetwork.co.uk containing the following particulars:

Identification of the protected work: A description sufficient to identify the musical work, sound recording, photograph, video, artwork, or other subject matter said to be infringed, together with evidence of registration or first publication where available.

Location of the disputed material: The URL of the Profile, page, upload, or embedded item complained of, with sufficient precision to allow the material to be located without further enquiry.

Contact particulars: The full name, postal address, telephone number, and email address of the complainant, and, where the complainant acts as agent, the identity of the rights holder represented.

Evidence of standing: Confirmation of ownership, exclusive licence, or authority to act, supported by documentation where the position is not apparent.

Statement of good faith: A statement that the complainant believes in good faith that the disputed use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law, including any applicable exception under Chapter III of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.

Statement of accuracy: Confirmation that the information contained in the notice is accurate, and an acknowledgement that a knowingly false or materially misleading notice may give rise to liability.

10.4 Upon receipt of a compliant notice we will ordinarily acknowledge it within five working days, assess it, and where the complaint appears well founded remove or disable access to the material. Notification of the action taken will be sent to the User responsible for the material, together with a copy of the notice, unless disclosure is prohibited by law or would create a risk to any person.

10.5 An incomplete notice may be returned for clarification. Where a notice is manifestly unfounded, abusive, or submitted for a collateral purpose, we may decline to act and may restrict further submissions from the complainant.

10.6 A User whose material has been removed may submit a counter-notice to the same address, setting out the identity of the material, the reason why removal is considered mistaken, the licence, permission, assignment, or statutory exception relied upon, and full contact particulars. Where a counter-notice appears substantiated and the original complainant does not commence proceedings or provide further evidence within a reasonable period, we may restore the material.

10.7 The High Court is empowered by section 97A of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 to grant an injunction against a service provider that has actual knowledge of another person using its service to infringe copyright. Compliance with a court order of that description takes precedence over any restoration process described above.

10.8 A record of complaints and of the Accounts to which they relate is maintained. Accounts that attract repeated substantiated complaints will be suspended or terminated under our repeat-infringer policy, and the number of complaints regarded as sufficient depends upon the seriousness of the infringement, the response of the User, and the wider circumstances.

10.9 A complaint originating outside the United Kingdom is assessed under the same procedure. A rights holder accustomed to proceeding under the law of another jurisdiction is asked to supply the particulars listed at clause 10.3, which are sufficient to allow the complaint to be determined without reference to a foreign procedural code. Determination of complaints, and the Terms generally, remain governed by the law of England and Wales.

10.10 Complaints concerning trade marks, performers’ rights, image rights, passing off, or breach of confidence may be sent to the same address and will be handled under an equivalent process adapted to the right asserted.

11.1 Access to core Platform functionality is presently provided without charge. Paid Subscriptions are expected to be introduced once the community reaches sufficient scale, and the plans, prices, billing periods, and included features applicable at that time will be displayed before any payment is requested.

11.2 Where Subscriptions are introduced, payments will be processed by Stripe Payments UK Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 08480771, or by another payment service provider identified at checkout. Payment services are supplied under the provider’s own terms, and strong customer authentication may be required under the Payment Services Regulations 2017.

11.3 Complete payment-card details are not stored by DJ Hub. Card data is transmitted to and held by the payment service provider under its own contractual and security arrangements.

11.4 Each Subscription renews automatically for successive periods equal to the selected billing period until cancelled in accordance with clause 12. Price, billing frequency, included features, and renewal date must be reviewed before purchase is completed, since completion authorises the collection of the initial charge and of subsequent recurring charges.

11.5 Prices are stated in pounds sterling and include value added tax where applicable. Bank charges, currency-conversion costs, and fees imposed by the User’s own card issuer are not within our control and are not refundable by us.

11.6 An upgrade takes effect immediately unless stated otherwise, and a proportionate adjustment may be applied for the unexpired portion of the current billing period. A downgrade takes effect from the commencement of the next billing period, and reduced feature allowances apply from that date.

11.7 Price changes will be notified in advance and take effect from the next renewal falling after the notice period. Cancellation remains available before the revised price applies.

11.8 Failed, reversed, or charged-back payments may result in suspension of paid features. Where a chargeback is raised without first contacting us, we may suspend the Account pending resolution with the payment provider.

11.9 Chapter 2 of Part 4 of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 will introduce a statutory regime for subscription contracts, covering pre-contract information, reminder notices, cooling-off rights, and exit routes. Following the Government response to consultation published on 2 April 2026, commencement of that regime is expected in spring 2027 and the regime is therefore not yet in force. Once it takes effect, any mandatory requirement inconsistent with the Terms will prevail over the Terms to the extent of the inconsistency.

12.1 Cancellation of a Subscription may be effected through Account settings, through the billing portal, or by written request to support@djhubnetwork.co.uk where no functioning self-service route is available.

12.2 Ordinary cancellation halts automatic renewal and takes effect at the conclusion of the current billing period. Access to paid features continues until that date unless the Subscription has been terminated for material breach, fraud, unlawful use, or a serious security concern.

12.3 DJ Hub operates a subscription model and supplies no physical goods. Statutory rules concerning the return of personalised goods, perishable items, or sealed media are accordingly not engaged.

12.4 Charges already incurred are not refunded merely because a Subscription was not used, because a renewal was overlooked, because a Profile was deleted before expiry, or because commercial requirements changed. The remainder of clause 12 sets out the circumstances in which refunds are nonetheless available, and nothing within clause 12.4 restricts a mandatory statutory right.

12.5 A Consumer who purchases a Subscription at a distance ordinarily benefits from a 14-day cancellation right under regulations 29 and 30 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The period runs from the day after the contract is concluded.

12.6 Where a Consumer expressly requests that the service commence during the cancellation period and subsequently cancels, regulation 36 of those Regulations permits a deduction proportionate to the service supplied before cancellation took effect.

12.7 Regulation 37 of those Regulations provides that, in a contract for the supply of digital content not on a tangible medium, the cancellation right ceases where supply has begun after the Consumer gave express consent and acknowledged that the right to cancel would be lost. Where the checkout process obtains that consent and acknowledgement, and access is granted immediately, the 14-day right will not survive the commencement of supply.

12.8 Reimbursement of a sum properly due under the Regulations will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed of the cancellation, using the payment method originally employed unless the Consumer agrees otherwise, and without imposition of any fee.

12.9 Independently of the cancellation right, remedies arise where the service supplied fails to meet statutory standards. Sections 34 to 36 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 require digital content to be of satisfactory quality, fit for a particular purpose made known to the trader, and as described, with remedies of repair or replacement under section 43, price reduction under section 44, and refund under section 45. Sections 49 and 52 of the same Act require a service to be performed with reasonable care and skill and within a reasonable time, with remedies of repeat performance under section 55 and price reduction under section 56.

12.10 Requests for a refund should be sent to support@djhubnetwork.co.uk and should state the Account email address, the transaction date, the amount charged, the payment method, the ground relied upon, and any supporting evidence. Determination will ordinarily follow within 14 days of receipt of the information necessary to assess the request.

12.11 Duplicate charges, billing errors, and payments not authorised by the Account holder should be reported promptly so that Account records may be examined and, where appropriate, a correction issued through the payment provider.

12.12 Business Users do not benefit from the consumer rights described at clauses 12.5 to 12.9. Their remedies are those expressly set out in the Terms, together with any right implied by law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13.1 A User may close an Account at any time through Account settings or by written request. Closure terminates access to paid features from the end of the current billing period, subject to clause 12.

13.2 We may suspend or terminate access, remove material, or restrict functionality where:

(a) the Terms are breached materially or repeatedly;

(b) fees remain unpaid after notice;

(c) fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful activity is suspected on reasonable grounds;

(d) continued provision would expose DJ Hub, a User, or a third party to legal, regulatory, reputational, or security risk;

(e) action is required by law, by a court, or by a competent regulator, including Ofcom or the Information Commissioner; or

(f) continued provision has become unlawful or technically impracticable.

13.3 Where the breach is capable of remedy and immediate action is not reasonably required, notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy will ordinarily be given before termination.

13.4 Following closure, Profile pages are withdrawn from public view. Retention and deletion of associated personal data are governed by the DJ Hub Privacy Policy, and limited records may be retained where necessary for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, security, regulatory, or dispute-resolution purposes.

13.5 Users should export or retain their own copies of material of value before closing an Account, since restoration cannot be guaranteed once deletion processes have completed.

13.6 Obligations that by their nature ought to continue after termination, including provisions concerning intellectual property, liability, indemnity, governing law, and dispute resolution, survive termination.

14.1 Personal data supplied to or generated through the Platform is processed in accordance with the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, each as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. The substantive data-protection provisions of that Act took effect on 5 February 2026 under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (Commencement No. 6 and Transitional and Saving Provisions) Regulations 2026, and the Terms are drafted by reference to the regime as so amended.

14.2 For Account registration, Profile publication, transmission of Booking Enquiries, billing, security, moderation, and our own operational records, DJ Hub acts as controller within the meaning of Article 4(7) of the UK GDPR. Categories of data, purposes, lawful bases, recipients, retention periods, international transfers, and the means of exercising rights are described in the DJ Hub Privacy Policy.

14.3 A User who obtains personal data concerning another User through the Platform, whether through a Profile, a Booking Enquiry, or subsequent correspondence, becomes an independent controller in respect of that data and assumes the obligations attaching to that role. Retention of a contact for later marketing engages the direct-marketing rules in regulation 22 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.

14.4 Section 103 of the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 inserted section 164A into the Data Protection Act 2018, in force since 19 June 2026, requiring every controller to operate a data-protection complaints procedure. A complaint that we have infringed data-protection legislation may be submitted through the electronic complaint form published on the Platform or by writing to support@djhubnetwork.co.uk. Receipt will be acknowledged within 30 days, and appropriate steps to respond will follow without undue delay.

14.5 Rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection are available under Articles 15 to 21 of the UK GDPR. Two clarifications introduced by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 apply to the handling of such requests: the search required of a controller is one that is reasonable and proportionate rather than exhaustive, and the response period may be paused where further information is genuinely needed to identify the requester or to clarify the scope of the request.

14.6 Articles 22A to 22D of the UK GDPR, which replaced Article 22 with effect from 5 February 2026, govern significant decisions taken by automated means. Our position on automated ranking, filtering, and abuse detection, together with the route by which human intervention may be requested, is set out in the DJ Hub Privacy Policy.

14.7 Storage and access technologies are governed by regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 and by the exceptions in Schedule A1 to those Regulations, inserted with effect from 5 February 2026. Particulars appear in the DJ Hub Cookie Policy.

14.8 The supervisory authority for the United Kingdom is the Information Commissioner, whose functions are to be transferred to a body corporate known as the Information Commission once the necessary secondary legislation is made. Complaints may be directed to that authority, although it ordinarily expects the controller to be approached first.

15.1 Users may report material or conduct considered unlawful, harmful, or contrary to clause 9 by using in-Platform reporting tools where available, or by writing to support@djhubnetwork.co.uk.

15.2 Reports are assessed against the Terms, applicable law, and the seriousness of the matter reported. Outcomes may include no action, a warning, removal or restriction of material, restriction of functionality, suspension, termination, or referral to an appropriate authority.

15.3 Acknowledgement of a report will ordinarily be sent within five working days, and the reporting User will be informed of the outcome unless notification would prejudice an investigation, breach a legal duty, or create a risk to any person.

15.4 A User affected by a moderation decision may request review by writing to the same address within 28 days, stating the reasons why the decision is considered incorrect and supplying any supporting material. Review is conducted by a person who was not responsible for the original decision wherever operationally possible.

15.5 Removal of material does not constitute a finding of unlawfulness, and restoration does not constitute a finding of lawfulness. Decisions are administrative and are taken without prejudice to the rights of any party.

15.6 Section 5 of the Defamation Act 2013 affords a defence to the operator of a website in respect of a statement posted by another person, subject to the procedure prescribed by the Defamation (Operators of Websites) Regulations 2013. Complaints concerning defamatory material should therefore identify the words complained of, explain why they are considered defamatory and factually inaccurate, and state where on the Platform they appear.

16.1 The Platform is a regulated user-to-user service for the purposes of Part 3 of the Online Safety Act 2023, and we take the steps required of a service of our size and risk profile.

16.2 Duties owed under sections 9 and 10 of that Act require an assessment of the risk of illegal content appearing on the service and the implementation of proportionate systems and processes to prevent Users from encountering priority illegal content, to mitigate the risk of the service being used to commit or facilitate a priority offence, and to remove illegal content once we become aware of it.

16.3 Section 20 of that Act requires an accessible means by which Users and affected persons may report illegal content, and section 21 requires an accessible complaints procedure. The arrangements described at clause 15 discharge those duties.

16.4 Access is restricted to persons aged 18 or over under clause 3.1, and we conduct the children’s access assessment required by section 36 of that Act. Where an assessment concludes that the service is likely to be accessed by children, the additional duties in sections 11 and 12 will be applied, including the use of highly effective age assurance where the relevant Ofcom codes so require.

16.5 Records of risk assessments and of the measures adopted are maintained in accordance with section 23 of that Act, and Ofcom exercises supervisory and enforcement functions in relation to those duties.

16.6 Users must not upload, share, or link to content that is illegal under the priority offences listed in Schedules 5, 6, and 7 to that Act. Material of that description will be removed and, where appropriate, reported to the relevant authority.

17.1 All rights in the Platform, including its software, source code, databases, structure, interface design, layout, graphics, logos, trade marks, brand names, documentation, and editorial content, belong to DJ Hub or to its licensors.

17.2 Subject to compliance with the Terms, we grant each User a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Platform for its intended professional purpose during the currency of the Account.

17.3 The name DJ Hub, the domain www.djhubnetwork.co.uk, and associated logos and devices must not be used in any manner likely to cause confusion, to suggest endorsement, or to take unfair advantage of their distinctive character.

17.4 Systematic extraction or re-utilisation of a substantial part of the contents of the Platform database is prohibited and may infringe the database right conferred by the Copyright and Rights in Databases Regulations 1997.

18.1 Reasonable skill and care will be applied to keep the Platform available, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. Scheduled maintenance, emergency maintenance, software releases, supplier failures, connectivity faults, cyber incidents, and events beyond reasonable control may interrupt access.

18.2 Features may be added, altered, restricted, or withdrawn where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, technical compatibility, performance, or product development. Material reductions affecting a paid Subscription will be notified in advance wherever practicable, and clause 20.3 addresses the position where such a change causes substantial detriment.

18.3 Features identified as beta, preview, early access, or experimental are supplied for evaluation, may be discontinued without notice, and are excluded from any service commitment.

18.4 We do not undertake to preserve User Content indefinitely and do not act as a backup service. Users should retain independent copies of mixes, artwork, photographs, and other material of value.

19.1 Nothing within the Terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of the statutory rights arising under sections 34 to 36 and 49 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, including the matters addressed by sections 47, 57, 62, and 65 of that Act.

19.2 Subject to clause 19.1, and to the extent permitted by law, the Platform is made available on an “as available” basis. No warranty is given that the Platform will meet particular requirements, that Embedded Content will remain playable, that Profiles will attract enquiries, or that defects will be corrected within any specified period.

19.3 We accept no liability for the acts or omissions of Users, including any failure by a DJ to attend or perform, any failure by a Client to pay, any misrepresentation made by either, any damage occurring at a venue, or any dispute arising from an engagement introduced through the Platform.

19.4 For a Consumer, we are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable consequence of our breach of the Terms or of our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses sustained by a Consumer, or for loss caused by the Consumer’s own unlawful conduct, inaccurate input, device configuration, or disclosure of credentials.

19.5 For a User acting in the course of a business, and subject to clause 19.1, we exclude liability for loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business opportunity, loss of goodwill, loss of contract, loss or corruption of data, and any indirect or consequential loss, in each case whether arising in contract, tort, breach of statutory duty, or otherwise.

19.6 Subject to clause 19.1, our aggregate liability to any User acting in the course of a business, arising in any period of 12 months from all claims connected with the Platform, shall not exceed the greater of £100 or the total amount paid by that User to DJ Hub during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

19.7 Limitations applying to a business User are subject to the requirement of reasonableness imposed by the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977, and limitations applying to a Consumer are subject to the fairness requirement in section 62 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

19.8 A User acting in the course of a business shall indemnify DJ Hub against claims, demands, proceedings, losses, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from that User’s User Content, from infringement of third-party rights, from breach of clause 9, or from any engagement entered into with another User. No indemnity applies to the extent that the loss results from our own breach, negligence, or unlawful conduct, and clause 19.8 does not apply to Consumers.

20.1 The Terms may be amended to reflect changes in law or regulatory guidance, changes to the Platform, the introduction of new features, security requirements, or the arrangements of our suppliers.

20.2 The revised version takes effect from the date stated within it. Material amendments will be notified by email, by notice within the Platform, or by another durable means, and continued use following the effective date signifies acceptance.

20.3 A Consumer or paying User who objects to a material amendment that causes substantial detriment may cancel before the amendment takes effect, and any charge already paid in respect of an unexpired period will be refunded on a proportionate basis. Amendments do not apply retrospectively to charges already incurred.

21.1 Complaints concerning the Platform should be addressed in the first instance to support@djhubnetwork.co.uk with sufficient particulars to permit investigation. We will acknowledge a complaint promptly and will seek to resolve it in good faith.

21.2 Should a complaint remain unresolved, the parties are encouraged to attempt a negotiated settlement before commencing proceedings. Recourse to the courts is not restricted by clause 21.

21.3 The European Online Dispute Resolution platform ceased to accept new complaints on 20 March 2025 and was discontinued entirely on 20 July 2025, Regulation (EU) 2024/3228 having repealed Regulation (EU) No 524/2013 with effect from that date. The repealing measure may be consulted at https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/reg/2024/3228/oj/eng. Traders established in the United Kingdom had in any event ceased to be subject to the ODR information duty from 1 January 2021. No link to that platform is therefore provided.

21.4 Within the United Kingdom, alternative dispute resolution for consumer contract disputes is now governed by Chapter 4 of Part 4 of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, which commenced on 6 April 2026 and replaced the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Competent Authorities and Information) Regulations 2015. Section 308 of that Act requires a trader, when communicating the outcome of a complaint, to inform the consumer of any ADR or other arrangement available in the event of dissatisfaction.

21.5 DJ Hub is not presently required to participate in an accredited ADR scheme and has not undertaken a contractual commitment to do so. Should participation become mandatory, or should we adopt a scheme voluntarily, the identity of the accredited provider and the means of referral will be published on the Platform and communicated in accordance with section 308.

22.1 The Terms, their subject matter, their formation, and any non-contractual obligation arising from or in connection with them are governed by the law of England and Wales.

22.2 A User acting in the course of a business submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

22.3 A Consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in the courts of that jurisdiction, and a Consumer resident outside the United Kingdom retains the benefit of any mandatory protection conferred by the law of the country of habitual residence.

23.1 Failure or delay in enforcing a provision of the Terms does not operate as a waiver of that provision or of any other.

23.2 Where a provision is held invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to render it effective, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.

23.3 A User may not assign or transfer rights or obligations under the Terms without our written consent. We may assign the Terms in connection with a merger, reorganisation, financing arrangement, or transfer of the business, provided that mandatory User rights are not diminished.

23.4 Save as expressly stated, no person other than the parties acquires a right to enforce any provision of the Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

23.5 Nothing within the Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, employment relationship, or fiduciary relationship between DJ Hub and any User, or between Users.

23.6 Notices to DJ Hub must be sent to the email address specified at clause 1.3. Notices to a User will be sent to the email address registered with the Account and are deemed received on the day of transmission, unless transmission occurs outside business hours, in which case receipt is deemed to occur on the next business day.

23.7 Neither party is liable for failure or delay in performance caused by an event beyond its reasonable control, including industrial action, civil disturbance, act of terrorism, epidemic, failure of telecommunications or power infrastructure, and act of government.

23.8 The Terms are concluded in the English language, and contractual documents are supplied in a form capable of storage and reproduction as required by regulation 9 of the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002.

23.9 The Terms, together with the DJ Hub Privacy Policy, the DJ Hub Cookie Policy, and any applicable plan description or checkout disclosure, constitute the entire agreement concerning the Platform and supersede any prior understanding on the same subject matter.
